Common ground -- passion for justice

Today in the media briefing, Bishop Michael Curry spoke passionately about all that consumes the Episcopal Church. Curry pointed out that nearly every statement, from every perspective, mentions poverty and justice as concerns that we face. He wondered if, perhaps, this might not be our source of unity, a place from which we might find commonality among our differences. As Curry said (must more articulately and intensely than this blog entry), we all understand Matthew 25. "I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me." Let's live that, says Curry. Amen.
