Healthy New Year! A Wellness Summit to help you keep your 2014 resolutions

Did you make a resolution to live healthier in 2014? Didn't we all? This whole first week of 2014 Facebook has been flush with articles about new diets, new exercise regimes, and top ten lists for improving will power. Friends are exulting in their new crossfit membership, or sharing their daily struggles to stay on track on their own.

God gave us these great bodies to enjoy experiencing creation with, and we all know we should be taking care of them. Yet, change is so hard. Chocolate cake is so delicious. Downton Abbey has us so glued to our comfy couches after work. Truth is, over the next few weeks most of us will give up on our resolutions just like last year and the year before that.

Lets work together this year to stay on track. On January 25th 9:30-3pm we are hosting a Wellness Summit at St. Peter's by the Sea in Narragansett, put on by the Church Pension Group and the Medical Trust. It's a free one-day event full of practical advice and tools for keeping in good health, open to all to attend.

Come evaluate your current lifestyle and learn about positive changes to make that will support you for years to come. Meet other RI Episcopalians who are looking to live healthier. Maybe we can hold each other accountable.  A (healthy) Lunch will be served.
