St. Luke's Pawtucket Welcomes The Rev. Dennis Bucco as Rector

On November 22nd, 2009 The Rev. Dennis Bucco was installed as the eighth rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.  Dennis and St. Luke's look forward to a vibrant ministry of worship and service in Pawtucket.

Dennis was born and raised in Rhode Island, and his home church is St. Barnabas Church, Warwick, where he served on the Vestry as well as treasurer for several years. After working for twelve years in the financial services industry, Dennis began his theological studies at the Boston University School of Theology and eventually transfered to the General Theological Seminary where he earned his Master of Divinity in 2007. Dennis served as a seminarian at St. Francis, Coventry, Trinity Church, Newport, and the Cathedral Church of St. John in Providence. He credits each church, along with their clergy, as exceptional experiences for his formation.

After graduation, Dennis was called to be the curate of St. Luke's, East Greenwich and happily served, learned, and enjoyed them for two years. Dennis eventually felt called to be a rector and tested the waters to find a church seeking priest to work with into the future, and found St. Luke's, Pawtucket. After a thorough search process, Dennis and St. Luke's agreed they are a very good match and called to work together.
