Last night, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, author of Failing America's Faithful, was on the Colbert Report. If you haven't seen the show, Stephen Colbert satirizes the yelling talking heads that clog our television news channels.
Anyway, the interview is humorous, and they make some good points about Christianity and contemporary issues. (You might see an ad before the video plays.)
More of the same retoric from the left. We are just one big family of God with personal responsibility for salvation eliminated. We all just go to heaven becuse we care about others. God is loving and would never exclude anyone from His Kingdom. Right? She better take another read of the gospels and the epistles and the writings of the prophets. Not only is that unbiblical it does does a tremendous disservice to the faith. More proof that the Episcopal Church is ligned up with the ideals of the democratic left. By the way, what ten commandments is she quoting from? Last time I checked the second commandment had to do with God not loving thy neighbor. The Leviticus passage and the Romans passage and the Corinthians passage all speak to the same issue. Yet it's cultural? Very poor hermeneutics. Rev. Marc Dobson
