RI State Council of Churches Calls for Prayers for Egypt

We have all witnessed the civil unrest in Egypt in recent days. This morning I spoke with Father Marcos Girgis (St. Mary & St. Mena Coptic Orthodox Church, Cranston, RI) about the situation. Many of his congregants have loved ones in Egypt. 

I would like to encourage all of us to join Father Girgis in his call for peace for ALL Egyptians from every faith perspective. He encourages us to pray for the people of Egypt and a peaceful solution to the current  crisis. 

As we gather for worship this weekend, I would ask the we all join together in this prayer for peace.
